DESCRIPTION: APW - Elgin, B.W. Raymond with rare original Santa Fe logo dial, Grade 478, 21J, 16S, gold-filled OF original B.W. Raymond Model case, white enamel SS dial with Santa Fe logo above "Elgin" marking, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, striped pattern nickel damascene, s# 27300651. An excellent example of this rare and desirable railroad marked dial.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running after a twist to start, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some toning of plate surfaces, some typical fine to micro-fine scratches, few spots of discoloration at smaller winding wheel perimeter; dial with hl below seconds-register near 7, otherwise flawless; poor hands have been overpainted in black; case shows little wear, some scratches to bezel, fine scratches to rear, ding toward right perimeter of rear, mild soft ding toward lower-left perimeter of rear, good engraving detail, curved scratch inside rear; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
